Today was a slower day than I liked. The weather has not been super great and we decided to keep everything local. We had a tremendously late start and we decided to kill the day at Bass Pro. We are within walking distance of the place, and visiting here is always interesting. If you know, you know.
The artwork actually works here. My prompt was clear: Largemouth Bass on a plaque and it has the words “Pennsylvania 2025” this was generated by Picsart AI. Like all of the other AI art generators, they passed art class, but absolutely failed every spelling test.Abby learned how to make a pretzel chain, and she did that. Bass Pro shops participated in Memorial Day.We didn’t know if getting on these rocks were allowed, but it was a pretty picture. There was a well beaten path to the rocks. They really need to clean this statue up.So the fireplace in the lobby of Bass Pro is huge and decorative. The mounted taxidermy around it give it that Bass Pro touch. The round signs by each of the fish are plaques that explain the state records for each fish. A 4 lbs Crappie is the thing that impressed me the most. This whole section, from bottom to top is as impressive as it is massive.Do I want this commercial grinder? Yes! Can I afford the price tag? NO. You can get some work done with this thing. That plaque reads: One of the world’s best known hunters, Bob Foulkrod, aspired to do what no other sportsman in history had ever attempted. Over sixty months of hunting and seven continents, Bob accepted the challenge of the “Obsession Quest”, the most ambitious undertaking ever by a hunter! The obsession Quest was a five year quest that included taking all fifty-five of the big game animals listed on the SCI for North America; a World Slam on wild turkey; and the African Legendary Big Seven. This Obsession Quest is now in the process of being displayed by Bass Pro Shops for the entire world to see! Now, the majesty of these animals and the thrill of the hunt can be experienced by all!
The day was a bust, overall. We didn’t do anything that we could not have done in Louisiana. The kids were on a bit of a wild streak, but that’s just the way things are at time.
